How it works
Setup takes a couple of minutes. Here's what happens after that.
- Tell Earl about the business. He asks what you do, who's on the crew, where you keep things, and how you price your work, and you answer in plain words. If you have a spreadsheet, you can hand him that.
- Talk to him like a person. Say it, type it, send a photo, or call his number. "Book Hudson at the Millers Friday 8 to 4." "How many boxes of the white are left?" "Erik wants his hallway carpeted, put him on the books." Earl and his specialists take it from there.
- Everything lands in your records. They're ordinary tables you can open, edit, and export to Excel, and they're backed up every night. Earl also works through the to-do list on his own and shows you a plan before he acts on it.
Then, every day
A morning brief
Each morning Earl tells you what's on, who's where, what needs your OK, and anything he noticed overnight.
Your calls, written down
You take the customer's call. When you hang up, Earl calls you and asks what they needed, then files the customer, the job, and the days.
The end of the day
If you want, Earl calls the crew at the end of the day and asks how the job went. What they say goes onto the job's log.
