Plain answers. What Earl keeps, who touches it, how long it stays, and how you take it with you or delete it.
What Earl keeps
The records your business puts in: customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, hours, pay, stock, and the conversations, calls, texts, and emails that produced them. Your phone number, for signing in. Push tokens for notifications. A ledger of what Earl's work cost so the plan's allowance can be enforced.
Earl also keeps notes about how your business likes things done, learned from what you tell him and what you correct. You can read and delete every one of them on the Brain page.
What Earl does not do
Sell your data. Train models on it. Show one business anything from another. Show an employee anyone's money.
Where it lives
On servers in the United States. Payment card details go to our payment processor only and never touch Earl. The services Earl runs on each see only what their job needs, are bound by contract not to keep or train on it, and the full list is available to any customer on request.
How long
Your records stay as long as the business is open. Deleted rows sit in the trash for 30 days (a year on the extended-backup add-on), then go for good. Nightly backups follow the same window. Sign-in sessions end after a week of not being used, two months at most.
Taking it out
Export: Office → Backups makes a spreadsheet of everything, any time. Delete a business: Plan & billing → Close this business. The plan is cancelled, every file and record is deleted at once, and the last nightly backup is purged at the end of its window. Delete your account: ask us at privacy@earl.solutions, or from the app once you're not the only owner of a business.
